A teacher, creator, designer, & life-long learner committed to developing engaging educational resources that lighten your workload, give you back time spent planning and inspire your students to think and learn in new ways.

A Midwest girl passionate about making a difference, I’m proud of the five years I spent teaching at a turnaround Title I school.

My years as a fourth-grade teacher at a hard-to-serve school were the most challenging of my life. Teaching is hard. There is never enough time, enough resources, or enough versions of YOU to make it through the day in one piece.

Thinking back, a lot of it is a blur. Straight survival mode. But I am forever changed by the countless lessons I learned in my classroom, from my colleagues, and most importantly, from my students.

Thinking back, a lot of it is a blur. Straight survival mode. But I am forever changed by the countless lessons I learned in my classroom, from my colleagues, and most importantly, from my students.

I learned that time is the most valuable resource, and there is never enough of it. I learned to think outside the box to structure lessons, create engaging activities, and cultivate a positive classroom environment so that EVERY student in my classroom could learn.

I learned that building relationships comes first, and learning will follow. I learned that for students to learn, I had to get EXCITED about what I was teaching. I had to find ways for students to connect with the content and take ownership of their learning.

By challenging myself every day in the classroom, I learned that I could accomplish difficult tasks. I could achieve anything I put my mind to.

Which brings me to my business, SPO RESOURCES.

By challenging myself every day in the classroom, I learned that I could accomplish difficult tasks. I could achieve anything I put my mind to.

I created SPO Resources with you in mind. I am here to serve you and help you serve your students. I am committed to bringing you the best resources, content, tips, and ideas I wish were available to me as a teacher.

I designed my business to share my unique content and creations with teachers and students around the globe: one classroom, one resource, and one student at a time. I aim to bring the joy of learning into your classroom while giving you back the time you deserve.

I am passionate and excited about creating resources that you and your students will love. Resources that your students will remember and be eager to use. Resources that are multi-functional to fit the needs of different classrooms, teachers, and students. Resources that require little to no prep on your end (because I’ve been there… 20 minutes till lunch is over, and I still have no idea what I’m teaching next). Resources that spark joy in your classroom. Resources that break tricky concepts down into easily manageable chunks.

And this is just the beginning. I invite you to follow me on my journey as I turn my wildest dreams and ideas of what is possible in the classroom into a reality. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and hear my story.

I look forward to connecting with you and learning about your story.
