Hey, I'm Samantha!
I’m a teacher, creator, designer, and lifelong learner passionate about developing engaging educational resources that save you time, lighten your workload, and inspire your students to think and learn in new ways.
My Teaching Journey
Originally from the Midwest, I moved to Denver, CO, in 2015 after graduating with a degree in elementary and special education from Indiana University. I spent the next five years teaching at a turnaround Title I school—a role that forever shaped who I am as an educator and creator.
Teaching is hard. There’s never enough time, resources, or energy to get everything done. Some days felt like pure survival mode. Yet, through those challenges, I grew in ways I never could have imagined.
I learned that time is the most valuable resource a teacher has, and I became creative and resourceful in making the most of it. I discovered the power of designing lessons and activities that are engaging, accessible, and student-focused—tools that helped every student in my classroom feel included and capable of learning.

Building relationships always comes first. When I connected with my students and got excited about what I was teaching, they became excited too. That excitement created a spark, helping students connect with the content and take ownership of their learning.
These lessons taught me that I could tackle big challenges and turn my ideas into reality. And that’s exactly what led me to create SPO Resources

A Few Fun Facts About Me
- I lived in Barcelona, Spain, for two years and have traveled to nearly 30 countries—I’m always planning my next adventure!
- I’m obsessed with my long-haired mini dachshund, Otis, who brings endless joy to my days.
- My husband, Craig, is my biggest cheerleader and adventure buddy.
- I speak and have taught in Spanish, a skill I gained through student teaching in Quito, Ecuador, working with Spanish-speaking students and families, and living in Spain.
- When I’m not working, you’ll find me skiing in the mountains, practicing yoga, reading a good book, listening to audiobooks, or spending time with friends.
